About Sugarloaf Mountain Polocrosse Club:
Sugarloaf Mountain Polocrosse Club is an American Polocrosse Association affliated polocrosse club based in Western Maryland, close to Sugarloaf Mountain, although our members come from all across the state! SMPC was started in 2008 by a group of polocrosse enthusiasts who wanted a club closer to home and it has since grown into one of the top polocrosse clubs on the East Coast.
Our By-Laws can be found here. All members agree to abide by all rules therein.
Polocrosse is a fast paced team sport played on a horse with a lacrosse-like stick or “racket”. Players use their rackets to pick up and carry the ball while using their horses to dodge and push other players on their way to score a goal.
The following video is a promotional video made by the Australian Polocrosse Association that explains why polocrosse is one of the most exciting and fastest-growing sports in the world.
